Ethan Shanahan '23 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a sophomore at Louisiana State University at Eunice (LSUE), where I have been playing as a center-back for the past two years.

This year, I was a starter in 9 games, playing in 11 and missing only a few due to a minor injury.

I am proud of my academic achievements as well, maintaining a 3.7 GPA this semester and always striving for a 4.0.

Before attending LSUE, I was the captain for my MLSNext team, LATDP Elite, and also for my

varsity team at Ducthtown High School. While my primary position was center-back for my club,

I was versatile enough to play as a central defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder, or striker

for my high school team. I averaged 0.9 goals per game throughout the season and was named

the State Offensive MVP in my senior year while playing as a central midfielder.

I am confident in my ability to contribute to an extremely competitive program both on and off the field. I am a dedicated and hardworking player who always puts in extra effort. I always put in the effort to be the hardest-working member on my team. I am a natural leader and believe I can bring a positive impact to any team.
