Hi, my name is Damian Sheffer. I have been playing soccer for about 8 years now, and have good experience on multiple teams. For around 4 years of this time I've played 1-2 years above my age, and successfully proven myself as able to do so with a strong knowledge of the game, good awareness, and skill. I know what it takes to play at high levels, and am confident I can do so. In terms of academics, I am an honor roll student, and have been my entire life, all but 2 years of which I received high honors. I also have participated in National History Day for the state of Maine and gone to Nationals (Washington D.C.) 2 of the 3 years I did it. All 3 years I created a website with a partner, and we won 3rd, 1st, and 2nd respectively for the State of Maine. In college, I'm hoping to excel in all that I do, not only academically, but also athletically. During my River City years I was able to see what kind of player it takes to stand out from everyone else through our trip to England the next year. Fortunately I was one of the few picked to go, and while were there we met some much different competition than anything in Maine. This experience as well as others have really shaped me as a player.
