My goals for college are most importantly to go learn and get an education in a field that I feel I would enjoy and be successful in. A big part of going to college for me is not only to play soccer, however, to also be given the opportunity to play higher than collegiate D1 level and be successful enough to become part of a professional team in the future. I feel like I am a hard-working person in most areas of my life, there is always room for improvement. I continually strive to be a better student academically in the classroom working on improving my grades, as well as a player on the field trying to improve my technical skills and mental attitude. I feel like I am a good leader out on the field, always trying to encourage my teammates to see the good in every play even when we have tough games or take a loss. When given criticism (positive or negative), I try to view from other’s perspectives to understand how I need to change or improve my game. When under pressure on the field, I try to physically and mentally take steps to beat my opponent by quickly analyzing past and potential plays during the game and make changes to my technical approach to potentially work in my advantage. I Have knowledge of the game, ability for high and intense pace and exhibit good team rapport on and off the field… I feel this is what makes me a good candidate for any college team that instills good qualities in their players.
I love the game of soccer and have a strong willingness to push harder in my life to succeed in my passions. I hope that throughout my years in high school, I can be given future opportunities to talk to some great coaches and mentors who are willing to give me an opportunity to show them my talents on the field while pursuing a fulfilling college education.
