Hello Coaches, my name is Mlangalire Kamungo. I was born in 2005 and began my soccer journey in 2018. Since then, it's been more than just a sport. It is part of my lifestyle and personality. From my very first training session up until my most recent game I always go in with a sense of joy and excitement as if it were my first time all over again. Soccer was a gateway into what has become a big family to me. As time passed I continued to get more and more involved in the soccer community whether it be as a player, a coach, or a referee. I always try to give back to others in this big community the same way they gave to me in my journey. I wasn't always the fastest or strongest or even the most technical on the pitch, but one thing I knew I had more than anyone while playing was the passion and hunger to do my best and win. I've played in many different cities and cultural areas and experienced different playstyles and aspects of the game. Whenever I meet new people whether they be my age or older I get asked why I chose to become Right back instead of another position such as winger. Although playing as a winger or attacking mid can be more thrilling and putt more spotlight on myself I always felt as though I can best contribute to the players around me in the righback role. One player I always admired growing up was Wan Bissaka. He was in my eyes the best player to ever play the rightback role. His ability on and off the ball would amaze me every time I watched a game. Watching him made me become the player I am today. I have learned under many great players and coaches, and I truly believe I can always make an important impact for the team. I am a coachable player who is always willing to receive others criticism to better help the team as well as myself. I am very hardworking and always play at 100% no matter what. I also believe that I am a great leader both on and off the field. I am well respected in my community and on my team as well as a role model for many of my underclassmen and players that I coach.
