Hello! My name is Holden Clark, and I would like to continue playing soccer at the collegiate level. I began playing soccer in Kindergarten and found that I had a talent and passion for the game. I started playing club soccer with a local club at the age of seven and have continued playing club soccer ever since. Over the years, I have played in almost every position of the game. Goalkeeper has been my primary position with my club teams for the past five years. I have played goalkeeper, forward, and attacking midfielder for my high school team. A few highlights of my soccer career are playing in the National League with my Midwest United FC Team (a top team/top club in the nation). We went on to win the Michigan State Cup in 2019 and became Mid-West Regional Semi-Finalists a few weeks later (June 2019).
I got into goalkeeping when I was about 9. My club coach was also the club goalkeeper coach. I started going to goalkeeper training for fun. I really enjoyed the training, and I decided to try the position. Well, I was hooked, or I got the goalkeeper bug, as my coach would say. I've been goalkeeping ever since.
I am a good candidate for your team because I am willing to work hard to reach personal and team goals. I am able to fit in and contribute to a team right away. I am a team player who is able to direct my backline in a way that gets results. I show respect and appreciation for my coaches and fellow teammates. I am able to listen to instructions from my coach, and then implement them in the game. I am a player, a referee, and a fan of this great game.
Continuing my studies at a four-year university is my college plan. I want to continue playing soccer while attending college. I plan to attend dental school after finishing my undergraduate degree.
I am a successful student, maintaining a 3.9 GPA while taking many Honors and AP courses. I am able to manage my time in a way that I can be successful in both academics and athletics. I work hard and know what it takes to be successful. I look forward to discussing how I can best use my abilities to contribute positively to your team. Thank you for viewing my profile.
