James Maynard '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is James Maynard, I go by Jimmy and I played Varsity soccer for the Quincy Orioles for 4 years. During my 4 years at Quincy when I played as a Freshman I scored one of our 2 goals including having the assist on the other. Our program at Quincy has been in the progress of rebuilding for a while now. For all 4 years of my time playing soccer at Quincy we had to scavenge for players considering that we do not have JV and have had an average of 13 players in the 4 years. My sophomore year I spent most of the season in a boot with a broken left ankle and could only play in 2 games. My junior year was my breakout season when I led our team to 5 wins, the best since 2019 and had over 20 goals. This year, my senior year we had a coaching change, and  I had exactly 37 goals leading us to 4 wins and a tie. My time at Quincy has made me feel a different kind of pride every time I was on the pitch knowing that this team would follow me as their leader to lead them to victory every single day practice or game. I believe myself to be an excellent leader even through the thick of it and a devoted athlete. I played travel soccer in middle school until I played 3 sports in high school including: Basketball, Baseball, and Soccer. Through my summer years I have been going through ID camps learning many things that I used in my Senior season and I know I am a coach able player and amazing teammate.
