Starting off at a young age my father gave me the best advice I have ever received, saying "the best way to get something you want is to work for it". I took those words to heart, expressing it in everything I do, going the extra mile. If you ask my friends what word describes me the best it would be "Try-hard". Some people would get mad for being called this because people think it is insult. Not me. I see it as a compliment and showing to myself that I am taking my father's words and using them to the best of my abilities. In my case, I put this advice into the three sports I've played for what feels like my entire life and as I get better I find this advice means more and more.
I currently am still learning about what my dad meant by those words and about myself. I am fortunate to be apart of a group of guys that have helped lift our high school program to the top of our conference, making it to the regional finals this past season. Through these past 3 years I have learned the power of teamwork, communication, leadership, and sacrifice. My goals for high school are to be able to find out what, outside of athletics, I enjoy doing and can use to create a career for myself. I'm looking for a program that can and will push me to become a better player and that is a good fit for me academically as well. I believe I have the qualities to be a good college athlete and be able to make an impact on your program. My college goals are to share my experiences with a team that I can have an impact on and be able to leave an impression on, but also to be able to push myself to become the best student I can be; both in the classroom and in game of soccer, while creating lasting friendships and enjoying the game.
