My name is Thomas Hewitt Oswalt and I attend Jackson Preparatory School in Jackson, MS. I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember. I have always dreamed of playing at the collegiate level. I work consistently on my speed, size and technical ability to prepare me to play at the highest level.
I play soccer at Jackson Prep and Mississippi Rush United. I have had the opportunity through Rush to play in the Midsouth and GSPL leagues along with competing in US Youth Soccer Southern Regionals, National League P.R.O. and E64. We competed in ECRL last year and will move to ECNL this upcoming year. We have played well at this level including making several finals and semifinals as well as qualifying for ECRL playoffs. At Prep, I was a starter for the Junior Varsity teams and I made the varsity team as a 9th grader. Our team finished undefeated in conference play and lost a close game in the state championship my 9th grade year and we won state my sophomore year.
My current position is striker but I have also played on the wing. I would describe my game as a strong mix of speed and power along with technical ability to take on defenders. I can play with my back to goal or look to play in behind. I have attempted to demonstrate both with my highlight video. I grew up watching Chelsea and have always loved Didier Drogba and Diego Costa and I have modeled parts of my game after theirs, including their fierce competitiveness.
I am a multi-sport athlete at school where I was named the Most Valuable Player on my football team and Most Valuable Player for track. I ran an 11.1 in the 100m at state and a 22.8 in the 200m. I can run a 4.5 40 and have a physical side to accompany my speed. I take numerous honors classes and have been inducted into the National Junior Honor Society and Chi Alpha Mu. I am committed to success in everything I participate in.
