Personal Statement

My name is Colton Becker. I'm a Junior at Glacier High school in Kalispell Montana. I have been playing soccer since I was five, my prime position being a forward. I have always had a knack for scoring goals plus I was built for speed. My biggest asset to the team is that I'm a hard working leader that hates to lose. In school I carry the same attitude and effort and apply it to school which helps me keep a 4.0.

I believe you get out of life what you put into it and all my hard work earned me a starting spot on the varsity team as a freshman. One highlight of my freshman season is scoring my first varsity goal in our first game to win. My sophomore high school season my team fell short of going to state but my hard work paid off, earning me First Team All-Conference.  Junior season was a whole different story. We went from not winning a single game to taking 4th in our state tournament. I was ranked 3rd in the state for goal scoring and was the captain of my team. I also had the honor of being the only one to receive First Team All-State for my team.

I train on average about 6 times a week and then work out 2 times a day 6 days a week. I'm a go getter I never give up. I'm very competitive and dread losing so I'm always giving it all I got to make sure we win, or know we played our hardest even if we didn't win. I have played on my Flathead Force club team since I was in third grade along with the ODP team that traveled to tournaments out of state playing other ODP teams. Every winter since 6th grade I have also been participating in our local futsal league. My local men's team recruited me to play with them the summer before my freshman year, which was an honor to do and improved my skills greatly. This up coming spring season ill be competing with my local Flathead Force Premiere u-18 team.

When I graduate high school I would like to have a 4.0 and have a Merits Distinction. My goal is obtain a scholarship for soccer and or academics to a college preferably in the western or mountain region. At this time, I am leaning towards physical therapy and would like to find a college that offers a degree or undergraduate degree in that field.

Thank you for your time, I hope you have a better understanding of the hardworking individual I am and the leadership and determination that I could bring to your team!
