My name is Tony Leary and I graduate in 2019 from Mount Zion High School in New Hampshire. I became more interested in soccer when I tried out for club soccer in sixth grade and made a team that went undefeated. The feeling of being a contributor to an undefeated team sparked my love and passion for the game of soccer. Through playing soccer, I have learned that I enjoy leading from the front, working together with my teammates to improve as a team and I have also learned that though I hate to lose, losing motivates me to improve myself in order to avoid that feeling.
My academic goals for high school and college is to give it my very best using skills and strategies I have learned on the field. Injuries have been an obstacle I have definitely had to overcome to get where I am today. Overcoming these injuries motivated me to heal as quickly as possible in order to get back to doing what I love. A unique characteristic I possess is not only do I want to provide constructive criticism to my teammates in order to improve, but I also welcome their constructive criticism for my game. I feel a unique skill I have is that I am a natural leader in the game of soccer. My passion and drive for the game is part of who I am. As an athlete of many sports, I believe that I have what it takes to be a valuable part of your team!
