Sports were something that I grew up with and adored. I played a lot of different sports throughout my childhood. In the sports I play today I push myself as hard as I can during practice no matter the drills and games no matter the score. I may not be loud, but I like to assess every situation possible and help my teammates out as best as I can if they need. That is why I am considered a leader on both my club soccer and club baseball teams. I have been appointed captain by my soccer team and even though captains aren’t named on baseball, still considered a leader.
When I first moved into the town that I live in today, it was obvious that the education I had been learning before was nowhere as near challenging as the education my classmates in my new school were receiving. At this time I was in sixth grade and this left me at a disadvantage. I took the honors classes that I knew were going to be challenging for someone like me, who before, was learning about curriculum my classmates would learn 1-2 years before I did. In my first year at my new school I struggled a lot. Although, I did not let this bring me down and drop out of those honors classes. I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and stuck with these classes. Now, in high school I am taking all honors and ap classes showing that anything is possible and that my goal is to push my abilities to the max and try to achieve things in both sports and academically that I never even dreamed of before.
I believe these qualities that I’ve talked about and possess would be a great fit for your program. I will never stop working as hard as I can and will compete for a starting spot on your roster.
