Ryan DeKorte '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan DeKorte and I am a junior at Ramapo High School.

I am currently playing both high school and club soccer.  At the club level, I have played for World Class FC for 6 years.  For the first 4 years our team played in the US Development Academy league.  When the DA shut down, World Class switched to the ECNL.  In the 2020-2021 season, our team was ranked 32nd in the league. In the 2021-2022 season, we won the Northeast ECNL conference with a record of 13-1-2, putting us at a ranking of 3 in the country for ECNL by the end of the season.  As a consistent starter on the team,  I was able to experience and perform in high pressure situations against top players in environments such as the top flight of the Nexen Manchester City Cup (2019) and the ECNL National Playoffs (2021 and 2022).  I also play on my high school's varsity team.  There we focus on a team-first environment where supporting each other and working to make each other better were emphasized.  In 2021, we won the county tournament and advanced to the sectional state semi-finals. 

I am a very competitive person by nature so I am always looking to be at the highest level possible whether in athletics or academics. My coaches and teachers often describe me as hard working and 100% committed.  This strong work ethic helps me to succeed in whatever situation I am put in, which is why I believe I would be an asset to any program.
