My name is Tommy DiVincent and I am the senior starting right-back for Cedar Stars Bergen Academy U19 in the MLS Next League. We ended the Fall 2021 season undefeated and again ranked as the number one team in the Northeast Division.
I began my soccer career at the age of 6 playing for my local soccer club, RYSA Wildcats, before switching to World Class F.C. to advance my soccer development. While at World Class, I was fortunate enough to achieve success as back-to-back state champions in 2014 and 2015, to participate in the inaugural years of the NYCFC Youth League, and to play up an age group in the newly formed U12 boys age group for the USSDA. After playing one more year of DA at World Class, I decided that I wanted to continue my career in the DA so moved on to my current club, Cedar Stars Bergen Academy. I played two more years in DA at CSA before the league was terminated.
I participated in Varsity Winter and Varsity Spring High School Track my freshman, sophomore and junior years and competed in the 800 meter, 1600 meter/1 mile, 4x400m, 4x800m and distance medley relay. I qualified for New Balance Nationals in the 800 meter in 2020 and the NJSIAA State Meet of Champions in 2021. I recently qualified for the 2022 and 2023 New Balance Indoor Nationals and the 2023 Nike Indoor Nationals and the 2022 Penn Relays. I currently hold a number of school track records.
My goal is to continue playing high-level soccer while pursuing an undergraduate degree. I am ultra-competitive and I am always eager to learn and improve. I will always be the hardest working person on the pitch. I see the value in working as a team and I am willing to forgo personal glory for the betterment of the team. I believe that I will be an asset to any soccer program.
