Hello Coaches -
My name is Owen Hunter Mead. I am a starting Outside Back / Outside Wing for the Washington United Premier 06 National League P.R.O team #5 out of Sewell New Jersey. I am also a senior starting on the varsity team playing Winger and Outside Back at Paul VI High School in Haddonfield NJ. My ambitions are to play at the highest level possible while obtaining a quality education in the fields of Homeland Security / Forensics or Criminal studies. I have received valued input from various college coaches and high level club coaches on my high soccer IQ, my strong ability to cover the field defensively and my high closing speed.
Growing up in the sport since the age of 5 has afforded me the ability to become the strong leader on the field while perfecting the technical knowledge and skills needed to succeed while also learning "playing simple" can get the best results for the teams success. While always fighting for the goal, I have always applied more appreciation for the assist than the goal because it shows me the team is in unison and there is no better feeling than that. Academically I apply the same determination for success as I know my goals of becoming the leader in my field of study and future community are hinged on my success in the classroom.
Thank you and I appreciate you for taking the time to look at my profile.
