Lucas Arciola '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a dedicated student athlete who prioritizes academics and soccer over all other interests. I currently attend Holmdel High School for the 12th grade.  For grades 9th - 11th, I attended the Academy of Allied Health and Science which is a magnet school in Monmouth County, New Jersey.  

I have played on the Cedar Stars Academy Monmouth 2004 NL team for 5 years as the starting Center Back and this year I moved up to the Cedar Stars Academy MLS Team as the starting Center Back.  I also play High School soccer and am currently the Captain of the Varsity Soccer team playing Center Back at Holmdel High School.  Last season, I was the starting Right Back on the Holmdel High School Shore Conference Champion Varsity team.  As a Freshman and Sophomore, I started as a Center Back on the High School JV team and as a Sophomore I was elected to be the captain of that team.

On the soccer field, I feel my mental game is the differentiator between me and other players.  I am consistently able to anticipate opposing players’ tactics and I can read the field.  On and off of the soccer field, I try to be the best leader I can be.  I am accountable, empathetic, always think before I act or speak and try my best to be a role model to others by leading by example. My ultimate goal is to find a college where I can play soccer and be part of a passionate, hard working team while I work towards achieving my career goal of becoming a Doctor.
