Aidan Born '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coach, 

My name is Aidan Born and I would like to share a little bit about myself for you to get to know me better.  Currently I am a Senior  in Old Bridge High School.  I have played on the Varsity Team as a freshman. By the end of my freshman year I had a starting position on Varsity team and throughout my Senior year. 

My high school team finished in 1st place in our very competitive Red Division.  It was a great season and an even better way to cap of my soccer experience as a 4 year Varsity starter.

I want college to be a good fit for me and I want to be a great asset for the school , especially any team I play for.  I am looking forward to this journey no matter the unknown.  

As a center defender or outside back I have good vision of the game and the play.  

I have played on the 2003 Boys ODP State team for 3 years and have attended there regional camp in Kutztown for 2 summers.   That was a great experience!  Unfortunately, in 2020 this was canceled  (Covid-19).   As a 2003 that was my last year with ODP and was so looking forward to attending the camp.  ODP did send out to the athletes whether or not their name was submitted for an invite.  I was notified mine was.   

My current travel team is Cedar Stars Monmouth MLS Next 2.  We are attending the IMG Cup in December which I am very excited about.  I returned to this club in the fall of 2020.  Previously, I had been playing with Full 90 Outlaws for about 4 years.  The team has finished in State Cup semi- finals twice.  We traveled to Manchester England last year which to me was a trip of a lifetime, being trained by Stoke City trainers and the Manchester City recruiter for the u14-15 boys.  That was an amazing session.  Got some great tips from him.  

The team was accepted to the Jefferson Cup back in 2020 but again due to Covid 19 that tournament was canceled.  

Previous to Full 90 Outlaws I was playing  for Cedar Stars Academy in Monmouth.  2 years on the Pre Academy team and then for 6 months on the u 15 team as a 14 year old.  

Academically I am a strong student, taking Honors classes where offered.  The last 3 years my language class is Chinese.  I have taken the SAT twice scoring a 1360 and 1320 respectively.  My PSAT scores were 1200 and 1230 with no prep class.  

I volunteered in a nursing home for  community service hours and help with local councilman / woman in town when they need help including the Mayor.  I have also done community service field clean up for Calvary Christian church in Old Bridge on a property that was donated to the church.

I feel as thought I am a well rounded person and would be a great addition to any team and college I attend.
