Griffin Coutts '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Griffin Coutts.  I am a senior at West Morris Mendham High School and currently have a 4.1 GPA. I play for my high school varsity soccer team and where I currently wear number 19, and play club soccer on STA u18/19 ECNL. I have been at STA since I was 9 and attended Mendham schools my whole life. 

Below are some reasons I would be a good fit for any team:

1.  I am very coachable and do whatever it takes to help the team win. I take the coach's suggestions well and put them into action immediately.
2.  In the 2022 high school season I led my team in both goals and assists as a defender and my team went to the NJ North 2 Group 3 state and county finals.
3.  I am a versatile player who can play every position except goalkeeper. I have great game awareness which allows me to thrive in any area of the field.
4. I thrive under pressure and can play in big games as seen in my high school season with both State Finals (where I scored my PK in penalties after double overtime) and County Finals.
5.  I was selected as Most Athletic Male of the class across all sports at the Senior Scholarship and Awards Program at Mendham High School.
6.  I am a hard worker and will use that on the field and in the classroom.
7.  I pride myself on being a great teammate and like watching others succeed.
8. I was chosen to be Captain of my Mendham High School team and look forward to leading my teammates into a successful season through positive influencing, team bonding and offering support.
9. I have played for the competitive STA SOCCER CLUB in Morris County NJ since I was 9 years old and am currently on the STA U18/19 ECNL Team.
