David Velazquez Jr. '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is David Velazquez Jr. and I’m 17 years old. My goal in life is to be successful in soccer and achieve educational success. My dream is to play at the highest level in pro soccer. I hope to find the right and best college or university for me to achieve my goals and dream. I am willing to do what it takes to be the best, to be a leader, and overall to be a great man.

I cannot explain the love I have for the beautiful game in words. Everyday when I have a chance to go outside I kick around the soccer ball I find so much joy. I practice with either my friends or by myself at my local field or in my backyard and find ways to improve my skills.

This game has got me through so many obstacles in my life. Although I was not born with the natural gift of playing soccer, I consistently trained hard and pushed myself both mentally and physically to make it my identity. I am known as the player the opposing team defenders constantly worry about. I always stay focus working on my weaknesses and strengthening my strengths to further grow as a player.

Whichever college or university I decide to attend, a kid from Jersey with big goals in life, I promise my commitment to continue to work hard to the best of my ability and dedicate my life to the team. I'm always looking to make a positive impact and rise up in those moments for the team on or off the field.
