My name is Matthew Graber and I am currently a Senior at Somerville High School in Somerville, New Jersey. At 6'2”and 175 pounds, I am the Varsity Goalkeeper for my high school, and the starting goalkeeper for Steel United NJ 2004B NL, which is currently ranked 11th in NJ and top 60 in region. As a Sophomore, I played backup to a 1st Team All County goalkeeper and played in 9 Varsity games.
As a goalkeeper, I see my position as a leader on and off the field. One of my main strengths is my ability to quickly and confidently read game situations and adjust my team accordingly. I pride myself on my exemplary practice and game attendance and strive to be the hardest working player on the field. My years as a lefty baseball player have helped fine-tune my hand eye coordination and quick reflexes. My focus on self-conditioning has allowed me to decrease my mile time from 6:45 to 5:40 in less than 8 weeks while training for the upcoming fall season.
