Colin Martin '24 Recruiting Profile

I am Colin Martin a Junior at Byron Bergen high school in New York. I consider myself a very hard worker and one who puts their full effort into any sport or academic task presented to me. When it comes to school I strive to keep my average above a 90.   I am enrolled in AP classes as a Junior and a member of National Honor Society. 

Soccer will always be my favorite sport whether I am playing or watching, especially because I have been playing for as long as I can remember. Soccer was my first sport and I love it so much because it allows me to learn how to play with a team and develop leadership skills. Since I have been at the Varsity level, I have realized how important my teammates are as well as the key of communication. 

 Setting an example for my teammates is something I believe in because it allows me to help my teammates be a better leaders themselves one day.

I am willing to work as hard as I possibly can to reach my goals even when the goal may seem unreachable. I work well with other players and I am very flexible with my posistion. I listen very well and respect all my coaches I play for and have previously played for. In every practice I try my hardest at all drills so that i can push myself and my teammates to become better players.

When on the field I never talk back to other players or officials and I show my best sportsmanship when losing or winning.
