Mikkel Thorsen '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm Mikkel Thorsen, I recently moved from Denmark to America over the summer. I went on to try out for the Varsity Soccer team at my High School. When I train and play soccer I'm a hardworking and focused player. I always strive to do my best and to support others on my team. As one of 2 goalies on the team, I made 8 official game appearances and had a shutout in all of my appearances. All year I was focused on making myself stand out as a play and as an individual, and that led to a Soccer award for my High School in my first year being an athlete in the American system. The award is called The Vinson Scholarship Award and is given to the player who understands what it is to be a team player and a teammate. I was very honored and proud when my Coaches recognized all the effort and hard work I put into the team and rewarding me with an award. 

Before I moved I had to make the decision to live in another country, and so far my decision has been the best decision I could have ever made. The decision has allowed me to grow more as a person, and to work harder.
