Growing up, my chief interests and hobbies predominantly consisted of soccer, math, and science. Ultimately, these interests of mine motivated me to aspire for a college education in electrical engineering and a perseverance in soccer. In terms of my athletics, I always push myself to my maximum ability, and believe that I possess the skill, experience, and determination to successfully pursue a position on the collegiate soccer team.
Soccer has been my passion since a very young age and I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the sport. What makes me a good candidate for any team is my ability to motivate and inspire fellow teammates to always strive harder, yet I also posses the ability to maintain composure under pressure, which is a necessity for my position as a goal keeper. I take training undoubtedly serious, learn from all of my mistakes and apply them to the future, and have the mindset that failure is not an option, as I perceive each experience as an opportunity to learn and do better.
What distinguishes me from other applicants is my extensive background in soccer, as I have played at one of the highest levels in the United States, partaking in events such as the Dallas Cup five years in a row. My international travels, in addition, consist of going to Brazil and Spain several times to participate in soccer tournaments in a number of different cities countrywide. This past summer, I spent a week with a select soccer program sponsored by ADIDAS in REAL Madrid, Spain, training and competing against top academies that are world renowned. All of these experiences have shaped me into the candidate I am today. I have built great determination in all that I do, as well as I have gained a sense of commitment to influence and aid others in striding for greatness as well. All of this participation in soccer leaves little time for my studies and academics, but i still manage to maintain a 86.5 grade point average, which I believe makes me a well rounded individual and distinguished candidate for this institution.
