Mason Jonas '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mason Jonas and I am the starting defensive midfielder for the Ardrey Kell High School Varsity team, and I am also a starter for the Charlotte Independence 03/04 ECNL National Team.  We compete with the top level DA and Pro Academy teams, as well as attend several National tournaments such as the Donasti Cup in Spain, ESPN Soccer Showcase, Jefferson Cup, and more. I've been playing soccer since I was 6 years old and I push myself everyday to the best.

This was the first year I could try out for High School due to DA and ECNL commitments, and in a school of over 3,500 students, I managed to land the starting 6 for my junior year.  On top of that, in 2020 with our full season, my club team came #2 in the league after barely being beaten by the top team in the state.  I am always proving to be a strong leader no matter who we play.

I work at Harris Teeter as of now, and I volunteer at South Mecklenburg Presbyterian Church as a youth chaperone for Bible School. I also work on my academics just as much as I do soccer, and I'm involved in the club "AK Bright Knights", a way of helping youth kids at different elementary schools in the "After-School" program.
