Duncan Elder '24 Recruiting Profile

I bring a relentless, selfless, team-based, ball-movement style of play to any program. I pride myself on my soccer IQ and decision-making. My teammates count on me to create for them. I represented Ohio on the ODP State team in 2022 and 2023. As a midfielder, I model my game after Iniesta, Xavi, DeBruyne, and Busquets. As an outside back, I emulate Walker, Alba, and Marcelo. As a forward, I try to play like Cruyff or Suarez. I am a soccer and futsal player. I am not the biggest player, so I accomplish everything through intelligence, hard work, and grit. I have spent endless hours practicing, traveling, and watching the game. I have played and trained in Spain with FC Barcelona coaches and in the UK with West Ham United and Man City coaches.  I take my education seriously by taking all AP and honors classes. It is tough to juggle it all. I have to be disciplined with my time. I practice 3-4 times a week all year with games on weekends and private training. I intend to study engineering or sports management.
