I started playing soccer at 4 years old with my local SAY soccer team. I played with SAY until I turned 7, and then moved to club soccer. I consistently made the top team for my age level every year with club throughout my youth. When I hit Jr High, I played school soccer in the fall and club in the spring. I started out as a striker when I was young. But in junior high, there was nobody willing to play goalie. I offered to try and I was hooked after that. From the time I was in 7th grade, I've been the starting goalie for my team. This past year I was asked to join the ECNL level of one of our local clubs and I am the starting goalkeeper for the U19 team. I view my responsibilities on the field as not just protecting the goal, but to help control the game overall.
I'm looking forward to finding the right fit for me both athletically and academically. It's important to me to find a school where I can not only contribute to the success of the men's soccer team, but also be able to gain a great education.
