The feeling I get from playing soccer really is something that I don’t get anywhere else. Having the sense of fulfillment while running and kicking the ball on the pitch with all my teammates is heartwarming. I love to bond with teammates and savor special moments with them.
I may not currently be the strongest and fastest person on the pitch, but that is why I work on strength and agility training with some teammates. I’m looking to try to commit more time and focus on the strength aspect of my game. Recently, I've been working on the mental side of the game as well. Every morning I wake up and do an exercise referred to as “mindfulness”. It’s something new for my game and something I'm still trying to implement every time I step on to the pitch, either in practice or in a game.
I've been told by many of my coaches that I have a good IQ of the game, meaning that I can analyze the game and implement what is needed to exploit the other team. Another thing many coaches have told me is my work ethic to win 50/50 balls is something to be commended.
Having an opportunity to help pay for my college education and to continue to play the game I love most is a big dream of mine. My parents paid their way through college and I want to be able to do the same. While I've had/have seasonal jobs and referee soccer games, I know that won't be enough to pay for a college education. Overall, I hope you have an interest in adding me to your recruiting list and to help me make my dream come true.
