I can solve a 6 side Rubik's Cube and a 12 side Rubik's Tetra Pyramid in 2 minutes or less. How does this relate to soccer? Its because I see most things as a puzzle to solve. When I am on the soccer field, I view the game as a fast-paced chess match and I try to anticipate every player's moves, whether they are a teammate or an opponent. My greatest skills lie in my focus on the players, my speed, agility, and flexibility during the game. I've started at defender (club), mid-field (high school junior varsity and varsity), and forward (high school varsity) in my soccer career. Anticipating the moves of the game is the most important aspect to me because it means I'm supporting my team members' strengths, and I'm leading them when they face challenges. Now entering my Junior year in high school, I am excited to start AP physics, and am leaning toward this subject for collegiate studies. I love trying to figure out "how things work." I place a high importance on my academic work because I understand that a college education is important for life success. I also place a high importance on play because the game of soccer has taught me responsibility, friendship, strength, and dependability, which is equally as important as school-based learning. I have aspirations to play soccer after college, so it is my goal to enroll in and play at a Division I college or university.
