I have recently began my path to become a great soccer player at the age of 12. I advanced two years later to the best league in the state of Oregon as a starter for my team. As Freshman year came around, I was set as Captain for my high school JV team, winning the most inspirational award. I have dedicated nearly every day to acquire the necessary skills to become one of the best in my area. Where the inequality and poverty in our society motivates me to work harder. As I participated on my high school team, I'd come early or stay back after practice to train on my weaknesses due to my lack of satisfaction of my skills. I hope to constantly work in doing so every week.
Additionally, in this decade, the nation has been troubled with acts of discrimination, racism, lack of equity, etc. Many students tend to get so caught up within this problem by attempting to make a difference through taking action. As for me, I desire to focus on myself until after I graduate so I will have the sufficient intellectual knowledge to confront these conflicts. I believe I should focus first on my family then my personal life and as I grow older, the community. By patiently waiting to help make a true positive impact on our society, I will gather skills that will be necessary when it comes to confronting these conflicts.
