Andrew West '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Andrew West.  My dad is military and we have lived all over the world.  I have played soccer since I was 4 years old.  I trained in Korea for 3 years and Germany for 3 years on competitive teams from their country.  In Alaska I played varsity my freshman and sophomore years as a starting attacking midfielder for the Lathrop Malemutes.  I played my junior year at Leavenworth High School in Kansas as the varsity starting attacking midfielder and forward.  I also played on the Kansas Rush u18 team. As the military does, we just moved to Pennsylvania this summer.  I will be playing for Carlisle High School varsity. I have play forward , defensive mid-field, defense, attacking mid-field (which I prefer) and striker.  I would like to not only play at the collegiate level, but also continue on after that.  Moving so often has taught me the importance of bringing my best every time I walk on to the pitch.  I have learned to adapt to different teams, players and coaches throughout my military life.
