Hello my name is Mason Wolfe and I am from Hazleton, PA playing for the Hazleton Area High School Boys Soccer team. I also play for Nitro Elite Soccer Club based out of Wilkes-Barre, PA. I would like to continue playing soccer in college and continue my academic career majoring in physical therapy, sports medicine, or exercise science. I have been playing since I was in kindergarten, and was named captain of my 7th and 8th grade team before moving up to the high school level. In my sophomore year, the 2021-22 season, we finished as 2nd place in the Wyoming Valley Conference, won the PIAA District 2 Quad A Championship, and were named NEPA Soccer's Wyoming Valley Conference Team of the Year. In my junior year, the 2022-23 season, we won the Wyoming Valley Conference Championship, and were semifinalists of the PIAA District 2 Quad A playoffs. I have enjoyed playing for many years and have found soccer to be a great way for me to relax and relieve stress. Soccer has always been a top priority for me as I am not only using my training to keep me healthy and fit, but it’s allowing me to continue to work on and improve my analytical skills, quick processing, and decision making skills that help me both in the game and real life situations. All of these skill sets help me to become a better person overall. Additionally, I have been able to develop a desire to always improve myself and be a leader on and off the field. I am able to direct and communicate with my teammates to allow us to have the best odds of winning the match. I have learned how to be patient, confident, competitive, and driven. If I had the opportunity to play for your team, I believe I would be a good candidate not only for my ability to play and understand the game, but also because of how I would treat, support, and respect my teammates. I would continue my strong dedication to the sport I have loved for almost all of my life, strive to perform above the level of your expectations, and balance all of this with my academic goals to be an example of the type of student-athlete your school seeks to produce.
