Logan McQueen '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Logan McQueen of the class of 2022, I’m from Smithton, Pennsylvania, and I play goalkeeper for the Yough Cougars boys soccer team.  I’m going into my senior season, after coming off of an MVP season for my team, and being named a captain for this season.  Through my past 5 years of soccer and from being a goalkeeper, I’ve gained knowledge and on-field experience from studying the game along with from my coaches.  I also play on a U18 recreational team in the spring to make sure I’m always sharp throughout the offseason and into the high school season.  My goal is to play in a high competitive level in college, and as far as I can reach beyond that, and with my work ethic, and encouragement from players, coaches, other teams, and parents, I believe I can reach that goal.  As of now my biggest strengths are my reflexes, explosiveness, and agility, which leads to many saves to keep my team in the game.  Along with that, with my knowledge of the game and constant studying of the position, I know how to make the best decision in every situation I'm put into, which adds onto my physical ability to execute.  And I also play other sports to help my abilities, such as basketball to help with my footwork, and track and field for endurance, all to make me a better rounded player.  When it comes to education, I'm a well above average student who is always working to keep good grades when I'm not improving on the field.  So no matter the case I’m always striving to work harder than the next guy, and I hope to be seen as a good fit and role player on your team.
