My name is Samuel de la Riva, I am a rising senior at Cumberland Valley High School in Pennsylvania, and an MLS Next Center Defensive Midfielder (CDM) at Pennsylvania Classics under Coach Steve Klein.
It has always been an interest of mine to play the Beautiful Game for a school that has both competitive soccer and academic programs. Some of my key attributes as a player are: sound technical skills, tactically disciplined, devoted team-player, physically fit (I have consistently ranked top three at the club level in bleep tests over the past three years), durable (can run for 90 minutes), composed, coachable and highly competitive.
I am confident that my defensive and midfielder capabilities of being able to disrupt opposition attacks and distribute the ball, along with my hard work in the classroom will be a great fit for your program.
