- Hi my name is Zach Queiroz. I will graduate from Mercersburg Academy in 2021. I love soccer and want it to be part of my college experience. I have played soccer competitively for as long as I can remember. I was on the Maryland ODP team for 2 years (2014- 2015)and competed with the ODP team in Scotland and Barcelona Spain. My club team was Olney Rangers Blue in Maryland (1st division EDP). I have not played club soccer since attending Mercersburg Academy because it is a remotely located school in Pennsylvania. Mercersburg competes in the Mid Atlantic Prep League (MAPL). Mercersburg Academy is a boarding school. I think that attending Mercersburg has helped prepare me for college due to the difficult academic standards, structure, discipline, and living in dorms. I am a very versatile player. At Mercersburg, I have played right outside back, left wing, and also center attacking mid occasionally. I was a midfielder and wing most with my club team. I will play where the position my coach finds is the best fit for me and the team. I am passionate about soccer and take the sport seriously. I have been playing soccer since I was 3 and I watch professional soccer which has helped me have a good vision on the field. I try to better myself at every opportunity so that I continue to compete at a high level. I see myself as a leader with all of my soccer experiences and hope to help others when needed. College soccer is a goal of mine. I am looking forward to the next step, college soccer, in my life with a strong commitment to the team as well as my academics.
