Success is determined by the culmination of many little things done really well, my name is Shaun Apsley and my career as as soccer player thus far has been just that!
I am currently a senior at Northampton High School and have been playing there at a varsity level since my freshman year.. I have been playing soccer since I was three. My sister started when she was 5 and I was to young to play on the team, my parents had to hold me on the side line when she use to play because I would run out on the field. When I was 5 and was actually able to play I knew this was where I belonged. I once got taken out of a game because I "scored to much" ( didn't know you could do that)!
My teammates talk to me because I listen, and they listen to me when I talk so I believe I am starting to developing strong leadership skills that I hope will help me both on and off the soccer field. This year I am currently a team elected captain of the varsity soccer team, something that I have wanted since I was in 2nd grade.
I never minimize the importance of mundane drills while training for these BIG LITTLE THINGS are the difference between being good and being great, these are the things that make me a good candidate for any team.
It is year is going to go fast and I am very much looking forward to finding a school to study environmental science and to take my soccer skills to the next level.
Thank you so much
Shaun Apsley
