Hello Coaches! My name is Curren Shesniak and I about to begin my senior year at Conrad Weiser Area School District in Berks County, PA. I am a captain and starting Attacking Midfielder for CW Varsity soccer, as well as a starting Attacking Midfielder for the 2021-2022 Reading Rage '03-'04 Academy team (Rossoneri). I am looking forward to continuing to build my strength and skills this year as I work towards my ultimate goal...finding my future collegiate home. I'm very excited to get started on my journey towards my future education and soccer goals.
Soccer has taught me many key life skills that I have taken beyond the field. First, I have learned that if you have a goal in life whether it is on or off the field, you have to work hard to achieve that. Whether it is on the field, in the classroom, or in my personal life, I believe in giving 100% effort, 100% of the time. Next, Soccer has also taught me essential communication skills, both on and off the field. These skills have helped me develop leadership among my teammates and classmates. As a captain, I encourage my teammates to give it their all until the final whistle. Last, I have learned the importance of constructive criticism. I strive to improve upon constructive criticism and better myself as a player and a person. I take these opportunities as learning moments which I use to better myself, and therefore better my team.
Due to my size, I like using my speed and technical abilities in the midfield to help me create chances for myself or others. My background in long distance running on the track team has helped develop my stamina, as well given me the ability to be quick to the ball. I consider myself a playmaker, as I have great vision on the field that allows me to play through-balls or create shots for our attackers.
My goal for the future is to find a college that fits me both on and off the soccer field. I am looking for a team that encourages me to push myself to the limit, as well as an academic program that will inspire me to think outside the box. I look forward to working towards my future and becoming a valuable asset to my future college.
