Timothy Brannock '24 Recruiting Profile

Soccer has always been my passion. I have been playing for as long as I can remember. No matter what stage of my life soccer has always been an important part of who I am and has allowed me opportunities to develop and display my leadership skills; most times on teams where I was one of the younger players.

 During the fall of 2020 I entered my freshman soccer season. Through determination and hard work, I earned a starting spot on the varsity team as a freshman.  Throughout the season I proved to myself, my coaches, and my teammates that I am a dominant player, rarely getting subbed out of a game. As A sophomore, I led our team in goals and assists as a midfielder, playing a significant role in reaching the second PIAA District 9 Final appearance in our school history. This past season, which is my junior year, I was the starting center midfield and I led our team in goals and was 3rd in assists but also winning the ball and playmaking in the midfield. Finally in my senior season I was named capitan and lead the team in goals and was second in assists.

I recently guest played for BVB IA Pitt at the FC Delco tournament and was asked by the coach to try out for the upcoming club season. I went to the first tryout and received my offer to join the club on my way home that night. I live roughly two and a half hours away from Pittsburgh so it will be fun but a difficult challenge to play with BVB but I am excited as we have now began practices with this new group of men. Along with this, I played the spring season with the U19 team at Bradford United in the Southern Tier Travel Soccer League. I have also had the great opportunity to make the NY-PA Corporate Cup Showcase Pennsylvania All-Star Gold Team 3 years in a row. My first year I was the only freshman to be selected for the PA team which is typically made up of juniors and seniors. During my second year as a sophomore I had a huge impact playing the 6 the majority of the game.  My junior year PA brought home the gold and I tallied the third assist of the game! I believe that this all shows that when going against older top soccer players throughout the region that I hold my own! 

Although soccer is my primary sport, I still love every sport I play. I currently run cross country, play basketball, and run track. Although these school sports overlap with soccer- especially club, ODP, and Corporate Cup- I still put time and effort into them. For basketball I was one of the few men on the varsity roster that got a decent amount of playing time. 

No matter what sport I am playing I always make sure that my academics are my number one priority. I understand that if I do not excel academically, I will not succeed in other matters. I always work my hardest to get the best grades I can. No matter what the task, whether in the classroom or on the field, I always strive to be the best I can be not just for myself but for those around me.  I would bring this same approach to your team!
