Thomas Tydeman '13 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was five years old.  Playing soccer at the collegiate level has always been my goal.  I have been blessed to have been a high scorer on every team I’ve played for while in elementary, middle and high school.   I was Co-Captain as a sophomore.   I am proud that I am on the Faith Christian Academy high school team where last year won our 100th straight Atlantic Coast Christian Athletic Conference game and 10th straight conference championship.   This year, I was selected for the Conference First Team, the Southeastern Pennsylvannia Soccer Coaches Association All Star team where we won 3-0 and I scored 2 of the goals.  I was MVP of the 2011 Atlantic Coast Christian Athletic Conference championship and listed in The Morning Call newspaper as a top scorer in the Lehigh Valley in both 2011 and 2012.  Additionally, I was selected to Morning Call newspaper All Area Team (Honorable Mention).    In 2012, Faith Christian Academy moved to the Bicentennial Athletic League were we won the conference.  I am very proud of my athletic accomplishments and working hard on my academic achievements.   I am looking to blend a great education with my desire to play soccer at the collegiate level.  I have a great respect for my family, team and coaches.   When I think of what I can offer a soccer team, it’s more than being a hard worker, quick thinker, and scorer.  I believe my assets are also my leadership, grit and great instinct when playing the game. I am open to both large and small schools and located in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West areas.  I currently want to major in chemistry but I'm still learning about alternative majors.   I desire to get a good education and I have strong goals for my college soccer career.   I want to find the right match as an athlete and student.  I want to be an important "impact player" for the school I choose. I want to earn my playing time and make the most of that playing time while on the field, helping my team and honoring my school. Thank you very much for reading my profile.
