I remember quitting flag football and playing soccer for the first time in 3rd grade. At the time, I thought it would just be like any other sport I had tried or was already playing, such as track, cross country, baseball, and football, but I was completely wrong. From the first time I took the field, I fell in love with the sport of soccer, and my goal is to continue to further my love of soccer throughout college and beyond.
Soccer is huge part of my life. Striving to become a better player through hard work, determination, and training everyday, is what I feel sets me apart from other players. I play for the love and passion of the sport, as well as for my teammates. Getting to know my teammates is an important aspect of the game for me. As our team bond strengthens and our friendships grow, my love and enjoyment of the game does as well, and of course, all of this makes us a stronger team. Soccer makes me happy and has gotten me through many tough experiences in my life, and all of those things give me the motivation and drive to get better everyday. I have a true passion for this sport, and I can take on any challenge that is thrown at me with confidence and strength because of my love, drive and determination.
The other sports I have played in my life, as well as my academics, have also furthered my growth as a player and person. I am very athletic and have tried sports such as baseball, football, basketball, tennis, and track and cross country, which I still currently run in high school and enjoy. Running keeps me in shape for soccer and helps my endurance and speed when playing on the field. Academically, I am in all honors and advanced placement (AP) classes, and I am ranked 42 out of 198 among my junior classmates with a GPA of 5.07. I take pride in my grades and work hard to do the absolute best I can in school, and I hold myself to high standards both while attending classes in person and remotely. I am relentless in my pursuits both academically and athletically.
I hope to continue my soccer career throughout college and into my adult life. With my openness to coaching, hard work, motivation, and support from my family, I know I can achieve my goals. Finding the perfect college for me is the first step to fulfilling my goals, and that all starts here!
