Lucas Lisondo '20 Recruiting Profile

As a high-school student, I aspire to make a change in the world; to do something. Millions of others just like me say these words. Since to actually change something one has to act, many times these phrases are considered meaningless. Through various recycling and environmental fundraisers, I have started to act.  I wish to study chemical engineering to be able to study how and why the world is deteriorating. Therefore, my objective is to improve our environmental system somehow. I feel flexible towards what to study for this reason: my objective can be reached through various studies, not just chemical engineering. Because of costly tuitions, soccer could be the most efficient way to achieve my goals. Personally, I cannot live without any kind of exercise - it keeps me fresh and alert. When playing, I notice that all my preoccupations are gone. When on the pitch, I forget about school, life, and everything. My passion is my best distraction. This is why I wish to apply for scholarships through this sport.
