Lawson Pope '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lawson Pope and I am an international academy/semipro footballer and a semi pro soccer player in the United States. I have experience in the United States, England, Denmark, Portugal, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. I have played for the JOGA international soccer academy since Spring of 2021 gaining over 8 months in Europe playing at the academy, amateur, and semi pro level. 

By performing strongly in the European environment, I earned 2 pro trials in Denmark (July 2021) and 1 pro trial in Portugal (April 2022). Upon returning home from my time abroad, this summer I contacted NOVA FC and trialed for the USL 2 squad. I was too late to roster in the middle of June, so I continued to train with the squad for the remainder of the season up into August. I recently trialed with the UPSL team SC United Heat, then earned a slot on the roster. As the youngest player on the squad, I am looking to make a big impact within the next 2 weeks. 

I also have trial opportunities coming up in the Netherlands with Hollandia FC and Wooter FC in the upcoming weeks. One thing about me as a player, I approach every training, game, and meeting with professionalism. I’m driven on and off the field. If you ask any coach I have ever played for, they will always speak of my work ethic and rapid growth. I look forward to connecting with you!
