I started playing soccer when I was 3 years old and the game has been a passion of mine ever since. I have always strived to better myself, both on and off the field. My parents and my coaches have taught me to be the best that I can be and to never give up. Outside of club team practices, I have consistently done private training sessions, camps, and personal workouts to ensure that I'm at the top of my game technically and physically.
As the team captain since 2016, I pride myself on being a leader on our team. Our club's motto is "Character, Unity, Quality" and I keep this in mind in everything I do. Our team has been TN D1 State Champions 3x and Mid South Regional Champions 2x. Competing at this high level has gained me experience playing in USYS Southern Regionals and USYS National League. Most recently, I have competed within the National Premier League.
In 2021, I was named to the Region 3 ODP Pool. I have been part of the TN State ODP Pool for 5 years. My first year playing ODP, I was put on the 3rd team. That encouraged me to train harder and the following year I made it onto the 1st team, where I have remained ever since. This experience playing with the top kids across my state and region has helped me become a better player and expand outside my comfort zone, playing different positions and with different players.
I am a strong competitor and am often praised for my vision of the game on the field, as well as my leadership. Being a referee has also helped me to deepen my understanding of the game and the leadership I display on the field. Most recently, I have been coaching with our club's Junior Academy, as well as camps. This past spring, I couldn't play high school soccer due to an injury. But I was the Assistant Coach on the team, and that role helped me have a different perspective of the game.
I want to play professionally, and I hope one day to be a professional soccer coach. but first I want to receive a good education while playing soccer for my school. I will train hard and will always try to positively motivate my teammates to do the same. I take all Honors and AP classes at my magnet school and maintain a 3.8 GPA. I am a member of Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and have been a starter on our school varsity soccer team since my Freshman year.
