Hello, I am Julian Colchado and I am from Houston, Texas. I am currently a Senior student at IDEA Toro’s Academy. I currently have a 3.3 GPA and I am looking to attend a university with an outstanding athletic and academic program. I am 5 foot 8 inches and weigh 140 pounds.
I play as an outside midfielder or winger and I can read the game very well which gives me the ability to also play as a center attacking midfielder. I start as an outsider midfielder for my high school and my club. My club team, Texas United Gunners Black 99B, have won State in 2014 and 2015, and we are currently playing in our second season in the Southern Regional Premier League. Between my high school and club, I have had the opportunity to train with some of the most elite trainers in Texas. This type of play level and professional training has influenced me as a player to have that competitive edge and discipline needed on the field.
During the summer of my sophomore year, I traveled to Gothenburg, Sweden to compete in the 2015 Gothia Cup with a select team. Playing international teams was a great experience. The competition was great, but the experience was even better. I was able to play against a team from Germany and Sweden.
In 2014, I was invited by the United States Soccer Federation to participate in five of the US Soccer Training Center Sessions in Houston Texas. These training sessions were conducted by a US Technical Adviser and incorporated some of the best players in Texas and Oklahoma.
In addition to playing soccer since I was 4 years old and training at least 4 days a week, I volunteer at my club as an assistant trainer in a developmental program that helps young players develop soccer skills. I enjoy it, because these young players are learning the proper skills, and having a lot of fun doing so. I also love to fish and hunt. During the off season, I always make a point to spend time outdoors either fishing or hunting with my family.
Thank you for viewing my page!
