Malakai Douglass '28 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing competitive, travel/club soccer since I was 7 years old. I am currently playing Left Wing as a U14 on a U15 Club Team that plays in the U17/U18 bracket. I work hard to be able to play in any position the coach needs me in but I most often play Winger but have assisted my guest teams as a Defender and Striker in addition to a Winger. I have traveled to Mexico, California, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Georgia, Nevada, and Texas competing in high level competition. I have been a part of the Southwest Texas Olympic Development Team and have traveled to work with the Eddie Johnson Experience Camps and FC Dallas Camps. Soccer is my passion and I have committed myself to becoming a more well-rounded and developed player through the use of both feet for touches and shots. I am an inclusive player and welcome all new players to the team and helping them adjust to the new environment. I always consider what is best for my team and not what is only best for me. I study my own film and professional games in order to develop my soccer IQ.  I am committed to my academics as well; although ultimately I would love to play pro soccer, my collegiate goals is to graduate Pre Vet and then get into Veterinary School.
