Evan Lund '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Evan Lund and I would like to introduce myself!  I am 17 years old and a Senior at Ball HS (Galveston, TX). I play varsity soccer for Ball HS. I am 6ft 3in and weigh 185lbs. I played on the JV team in 9th grade and have been on a varsity team member since 10th grade. I became a starter as a sophomore. I was voted MVP for the 2015 and 2016 season.  I was named first team All-District in 2015 and 2016 and also selected as All-County honorable mention in 2015 and first team All- County in 2016. I play on a select U19 team as the starting goalkeeper in the fall and spring. Our team competed in the State Championships in the Fall of 2016 in Super 2 (2nd highest division). I have attended college soccer camps in the summer.  I also train in the winter and play indoor soccer league. I am an excellent student and take my education very seriously. I have a 3.5 GPA and a 23 on the ACT and a 1080 on the SAT. I am not 100% decided on my major, but it will likely be something like Maritime Administration, Business Administration, or environmental studies.  I am a member of National Honor Society and participate in NHS community activities.  For example, I participate in the city wide beach clean-up on weekends as well as pick-up recycled trash around town as part of NHS fundraising project. I plan to consider colleges that are a good match for me academically.  I am very passionate about soccer and it would be great if I am able to play soccer as well as find a university to fit my academic plans.
