Ricardo Martinez Jr '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Ricardo Martinez Jr. I currently go to Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men and I am class of 2025. I was born and raised in Texas but would love to travel to continue and to get recognized for my soccer career.

With god's will, my long term goal with soccer is to become a professional player. I aspire to study and play soccer at the highest level possible. Having played this beautiful sport for over 12+ years. I have learned so many valuable lessons on and off the field. A couple is overcoming the fear of falling and learning to deal with it, perseverance and setting goals. Throughout my career, I have played for the Houston Dynamo, Rise soccer club and many more teams, even tournaments. I've played at the highest levels including DA and MLS NEXT. Not to mention I was even called up to tryouts for Club Pachuca Fuerzas Basicas located in Pachuca, Mexico.  

I think I would be a great candidate for your team because I am a very positive person on and off the field and also very passionate when it comes to the sport I love. I believe I am very strong mentally & physically and I know I can take my mind places other players can’t.

Academic wise, I have always been a great student maintaining a 3.3 GPA , and constant A’s and B’s. I'm very applied to school because in my mind Education is the passport to a future of success.
