Jimmy Fermin '15 Recruiting Profile

Soccer has been my love since I was four years old. My passion for the game is so big I've learned every position on the pitch. I have always strived to be a leader, and because of both my knowledge and leadership skills I have earned respect from my fellow teammates and coaches. However, I not only play it but teach, ref, and coach the beautiful game. For example I taught/coached in 3 VBS's where I ran drills and gave bios of professional soccer players. Also I coached a U11-12 girls soccer team for 4 seasons. During my school breaks I have held week long training camps to whoever was interested. Last but not least at age 12 I became a certified soccer referee. Seeing the game from a players, referee, and a coaches view helps me learn and read the game better on and off the field. I do like to also study the different styles and tactics of different leagues. One of my strongest values is bringing my versatility and knowledge to the team. I've successfully played and know every position on the pitch. I'm a fast learner and can stay calm under pressure. Playing soccer at a college level would not only be a dream come true, but would give me an opportunity to further my knowledge in Kinesiology and sports marketing.
