My name is Tyrone J. Davis Jr. I am 17 years old and play soccer at Samuel Clemens High School (Graduating 2014) and with the Lions Futball Club in Schertz, TX. I am 5'9", weigh about 132 pounds. Forward is my primary position but I also play Right Midfield. All my coaches tell me that "I get into positions other Forwards can't because of my speed and athleticism". I scored 12 goals in 10 games in the fall 2012 club soccer season. I am very interested in playing college soccer and one day as a professional. I am aware of the sacrifice, dedication, and hard work it will take to get there. But I know it begins in the classroom, so I will work hard to keep my grades up.
I am a non-disruptive student, very active in class, and motivated to answer questions and discuss topics. I have an overall 3.3 grade point average. Also, I scored 1260 on the SAT and 17 on the ACT exam. My goal in college is to graduate with a degree in Computer Science with a concentration in video game design. I have already taken video game design and computer coding classes at my high school. I really enjoy designing video games in my spare time and playing FIFA on Xbox 360.
As for my soccer experience, I have been playing since I was 8 years old. I began playing recreational soccer in Pensacola, FL and continued in Alamogordo, NM. My first action in high school occurred when I was in the 8th grade. In New Mexico, 8th graders were allowed to play JV high school soccer. In the middle of my freshman year, I moved to San Antonio, TX where I continued playing soccer at Samuel Clemens High School. I was a starter on the JV team my 9th grade year, but played with the Varsity team during tournaments so I could get some experience and get to understand the head coach's expectations. I played and started Varsity games during my sophomore and junior year. Also, I play competitive soccer with the Lions FC; 96 Lions Red Team (Division I). I have played club soccer with Lions for 3 years, including this year. So, I play pretty much year round. In the fall, I play with my club team from Aug - Nov. I play with my high school team from Jan - Mar. Then I rejoin my club team from Mar - May for spring competition. Thanks for reviewing my profile!
Sincerely,
Tyrone J. Davis Jr.
