My goals for college would be to play college soccer at whatever level is offered and hopefully use that as a springboard to move onto a continued soccer career. If a continued soccer career isn't an option I hope to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist or possibly an Athletic Trainer. As a teammate I provide good leadership and I will play wherever needed. I'm a good teammate, I will encourage and push other athletes to be better by example and by helping whenever possible. I have a lot of different experiences that will help me contribute to a team environment which includes earning the Eagle Scout award.

- Matt participated as a guest player with the AJAX JOGA FC-B00-A club soccer team with Jeff Mabey as head coach. The team earned 1st place in the HS Boys Gold division with the final ending in a PK shootout. Matt made his PK. Coach Mabey started Matt in games 2-4 and Matt played most of all four of the tournament matches as a forward. At one point, however, Coach Mabey used Matt as a center defender for a short time as the need arose. Matt does have significant experience in all positions except keeper. Coach Mabey was complimentary of Matt's tournament performance. He said he likes Matt because 'he is a player'.
