My junior year of highschool was a tough year. During my highschool tryouts my grandpa passed. Unfortunately I was cut from the team. In the moment being cut was the worst thing to happen to me I thought I wasn't good enough to play at a higher level. When I realized that I shouldn't be in this mentality I started to focus on becoming better. I worked hard on finding a trainer that I worked hard with every week paying him with the little money I had from working my job. In this time I showed myself that I can play at a higher level pushing myself past my limits to get better and be a better player. I showed myself how determined I am to get better at the things I do. This mentality has stuck with me and made me who I am right now in every aspect of my life. My life has only gotten better from that moment. I tried out for a higher level team and was accepted on the first day of tryouts. I have trained at least 3 days a week since then wanting to improve more and more. I have gotten harder classes on college level and kept my 4.0 GPA. I have gone out of my way to help people who need it. This is why I want to play college I want to grow and challenge myself as a player to be better and bring up the people around me.
