Ty Johnson '22 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play at the highest level of collegiate soccer and to obtain a quality education. Ultimately  I want to build a career around sports and influencing positive experiences for others through sports.

The highlight of my career to this point was being selected to play for the U14 Virginia State All Stars in July 2018, where we competed in the inaugural International Champions Cup (ICC) tournament in Orlando, Florida. I was caption of the team and played against some of the best U14 talent in the world including Liverpool, Houston Dynamo, and LA Galaxy. The experience ended with our team winning the Championship in the Plate Division. During the tournament I played every minute in every game as our teams center defensive midfielder. Being around the best players and coaches in the world has increased my already strong passion to play soccer at the highest level.

I am an unselfish person who thrives off of being a great teammate. I have been the caption on my Academy team for the past two seasons. I am a leader vocally and through my actions. I am an above average student with a GPA of 3.75. who is currently taking all honors courses my Freshman year in High School. In my Sophomore year I will be taking AP courses which count as college credits.
